Thanks for the information you have posted about Eastern Carpenter Bees. We purchased a new (new to us) home back in December and recently I have been hearing a distinct 'chewing' sound in the walls outside some window frames. Also, we have male bee's 'hanging out' and hovering around those windows ALL the time. I thought they were just bumble bees being territorial. Now I'm pretty sure it's carpenter bees.

Still, I'm going to have to do something to get rid of them. They're very loud when they are 'chewing' :/

Thanks again!
