My long-term career goal is to write novels. I have a complete, 95,000-word science fiction novel ready to go. It features superheroes and has an LGBT interest (specifically, a gay protagonist and themes dealing with human sexuality).
What I don’t yet have is an agent or a publisher.
If you have the capacity to change that, and you’d like to see a query, a partial, or the full manuscript, say the word and I’ll have it in your hands today.
It’s an odd, interesting experience watching my work go viral. I’d love if it helped me earn a living doing what I love. Worth a shot, right?
[Additional Note, just FYI]:
I do not monetize my blog, nor my Tumblr, YouTube, Twitter, or any other social network. I don’t advertise any product except my own, which means I make zero money from the traffic that comes my way. This is a deliberate choice, because I don’t regard my blog or any other network as a product unto itself–I view them as an opportunity to participate in the enormous conversation that is the Internet, to meet people, and to connect with readers who might help support my career as a writer.
This allows me to treat readers and commenters as human beings with whom I am engaged in a conversation, not as customers whose clicks I depend on to make a living.
If you’d like to show me a little financial support, for which I would of course be enormously grateful, I’d invite you to purchase my ebook short story, Toll Road, at Amazon.com, and to consider posting a review.
