Let’s take a little break from the horror that is American politics, in favor of another type of horror. It’s Halloween, and I’m here to help you find the perfect movie for your next graveyard smash. From John Carpenter’s 1982 THE THING (my all-time favorite) to more recent classics like IT FOLLOWS and THE BABADOOK, here are a few of my favorite horror movies of all time.
With Republicans in control of Congress and Donald Trump in the White House, we’re hearing a lot about repealing the “Death Tax,” better known as the Federal Estate Tax. But what IS the Death Tax, and who actually pays it? Once you know the truth, you may feel differently about repeal.
You can learn lots more about the Estate Tax, and other taxes, by visiting the Tax Policy Center.
First release: Flood, 1990
(This is an ongoing countdown that will be updated through April. Click here for the full list.)
Flood was the record that started it all for so many TMBG fans, and still holds up as one of their best records from start to finish; but I’d wager half or more of those fans first encountered this song not on Flood, but on Tiny Tunes Adventures, in the form of the video above.
As for me, this was another of those songs they played at weekend dances at my summer nerd camp. Yep. Dances. I distinctly remember dancing around playing an air violin.
